S/MIME controls are not available

Emails that have been signed and or encrypted will display the message "S/MIME controls are not available". This message means that when OWA tried to load its S/MIME plug-in that allows for signing, encrypted, and decrypting of emails, something went wrong and failed to load the plug-in. The only web browser that is capable of loading this plug-in is Internet Explorer on Windows. No other Windows or Mac web browser is capable of loading this plug-in, therefore you will not be able to sign, encrypt, or decrypt email.

Why doesn't DTS work in Safari 10?

Apple recently published an update that included a new version of Safari this version includes a new way to allow Java to run in UnSafe Mode.  To turn off safe mode you will need to press and hold the Option key on your keyboard, click the drop down menu, and uncheck "Run in Safe Mode".  Once that has been unchecked, click done and close Safari Preferences.  At this point you can try the login process again, and you shouldn't see error code 305.

SCR 3500A and OS X

Identive has released a new version of their 3500 reader with the model number of SCR 3500 A.  This reader is not natively supported by the Mac OS, and can be misleading as the reader will show up in the Mac's System Information and in the PKard Assistant.  We have been asked to inform our customers to go to Identive's FAQ page in order to obtain new drivers for this reader.
