The IOGear GSR202 reader did not exist in 2006. It has only been on the market for less than 1 year. In my tests, I only had an issue with 10.4.11, it works just fine with all flavors of 10.5.x (Leopard)-10.7.x (Lion).

macuser, You are correct that the manufacture only lists Windows as the way to update the firmware on an SCR-331.
