Here is information from an FAQ that may help: CAC is not recognized. Make sure the card reader is properly connected to the USB port. Try removing and re-inserting the card. PKard is only for use with Safari to access secure government websites with CACs. You may want to try our ADmitMac PKI product.

Currently, support for browsers other than Safari is outside the scope of this product. A good source for help is the website MilitaryCAC.com.

A few customers have reported problems connecting to these specific sites using Safari browser. While we are working to resolve this issue, some have reported success using Google Chrome or Firefox.

You installed PKard again and, after upgrading to Snow Leopard, you are able to log into AKO, but without PKard. Did you uninstall PKard after upgrading? What was the previous OS? Could you clarify?

PKard is only for use with Safari web browser. You may try access through Microsoft OWA (Outlook Web Access).

After three attempts, you may have locked out your CAC. Verify this by attempting to unlock your CAC in Keychain Access (located in /Applications/Utilities folder). In regard to the Navy sites, MilitaryCAC.com reports that "...for whatever reason, in order to access some of the Navy CAC enabled site...
