Rebooting spoils firewall setting for cifsd

Post by heath » Mon Oct 01, 2012 10:48 am

Since I installed DAVE10, I had been able to access from Windows PC.
But after I rebooted my Mac, I have been unable to access from PC.
If disabling firewall on my Mac, it's accessible.
It is strange that there are "permit connection" of both cifs_server and cifsd.app in firewall option.
How can I do?
Should I re-install DAVE10 every time I reboot my Mac?

heath,

We're not aware of any issues with the current version of DAVE and the OS X Firewall, and you shouldn't have to resinstall DAVE after every boot.

My concern is that the installation of DAVE is damaged somehow. Please run the uninstaller located in the
/Library/Application Support/DAVE folder, then download a new installer from this link. After installing again, please contact our Support Specialists at support@thursby.com if the problem persists.
