AD redirected folders

Post by jimmyeao » Wed Jul 23, 2014 8:48 am

Hi,
I am new to both Macs and ADmitMac, so please bear with me..

I have an Active Directory domain, (2012R2 functional level) where user accounts make use of redirected folders, i.e. there is a policy in place that redirects certain user's folders (documents, pictures, downloads) to a network share.
This setting is a domain policy, not applied directly to their account.

Will ADmitMac permit me to easily configure a Mac so that ANY domain user who logs in will get their redirected folders?

many thanks

Jimmy

Jimmy,

Unfortunately, folder redirection by Group Policy utilizes some scripting on the client side. ADmitMac won't be able to allow the Mac to run those Windows scripts, but we have a number of ways to achieve the same type of behaviour using the ADmitMac Browser Mounting Preferences or configuring a hybrid home folder. I would suggest contacting our Support Specialists at support@thursby.com and describing your situation. After discussing your desired scenario, we should be able to come up with a solution.
