Won't read card

Just using reader for the first time on iPhone 6 running version 10.1 of the IOS. Light in the reader comes on but in the R2S app it isn't recognizing my card. Just get the screen that says "Please insert a smart card" which just times out. Any suggestions?

I restarted my phone with the reader plugged in and it works like a champ now!

We've seen this problem sometimes after an iOS update. The hardware is not recognized until the iPhone/iPad is restarted. Thanks for letting us know.

My cac reader lights up, but doesn’t get past the “Please insert smart card” page. I restarted my phone, and I’m still having this issue.

escobedoma,

Which version of iOS is on your phone? Does the blue light ever flicker when you first insert your CAC into the reader? Does your CAC work on a Windows computer?

Same issue with me, but I do have iOS 12.2. It just waits to load my ID but I did find out that one of the ways I can log on is to plug the usb cable that came with it to my computer and it works. It doesn't work if it's not plugged in first. I've already restarted my phone and made sure the battery life is more than 50%. Any help would be great, thank you.
