Mail not working - keeps asking for PIN

Post by charles.beyer » Tue Feb 21, 2017 2:59 pm

I can't seem to access mail from R2S.
It asks for my pin, says connecting to mail server, then goes back to asking for my pin.
I've entered it up to 10 times with no success.
I've tried several times over the last several months and the results have been the same.
I'm using an S7.
I can login to R2S fine and see my profile.
NROWS also works fine.

charles.beyer,

Are you selecting a certificate when you attempt to log into webmail? If so, which certificate?

Are you using a Dual Persona CAC?

Which webmail url are you using?

It does not ask me to select a certificate.
I'm not using a Dual Persona CAC.
I've tried US West and PACOM, both work fine in Windows IE.

charles.beyer,

Do you get the same prompt for a PIN if you try accessing Navy east?

If not, do you receive an error message?

No, US East asked for my pin twice then returned 403 with the subcode 12202.
However, that's the same error I get from Windows.
I don't think account is configured to work in that domain.

charles.beyer,

Error code 403 means that your access to the site was denied. With two fingers, double tap your screen while logged into R2S to display our toolbar, tap the 3-Dot button, tap Settings, then tap About. Which version of the app do you have installed?

Just received my reader last night plugged in, attempted to login to email, told me password was not correct and now my CAC is blocked to all sites. Cannot access NROWS, NKO, BoL or other site I need to get into...CAC worked fine prior to. - MAC Roberts

Hello cohistoryteacher,

After the 3rd consecutive, unsuccessful login attempt, your CAC is "locked", meaning you will not have access to the certificates until the CAC is unlocked. This can only be handled at your nearest CAC office. Visit this link to find your a location nearest you https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
